Dr. Robert L. Scott

Dr. Robert L. Scott, a native of Eastover, South Carolina, is a prominent educator whose distinctive career has been marked by intensive preparation and study. Graduating from Webber High School in Eastover, South Carolina, Dr. Scott attended the Blayton School of Accounting in Atlanta, Georgia where he received an Associate Degree in Office Administration. He then attended Morehouse College, Atlanta, Georgia.  After which, he spent three years in the United States Army as a personnel specialist.  After the military tour of duty, Dr. Scott completed his education at Benedict College with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management and continued his education at Atlanta University with a Master’s of Business Administration.  He later completed a Doctorate of Education in Administration at the University of South Carolina. He completed additional studies at Harvard University, New York University, Florida A&M University and Emory University. 


Comittment to the youth

Dr. Scott has received awards for his outstanding leadership in the community from the National Transporation Institute.  He served as the Director of the Benedict College Summer Transportation Institute for twelve years where he managed a budget of over $500, 000 to help high school students develop an awareness and understanding of various modes and careers of the National Transporation Systems.  Dr. Scott also received awards for his outstanding leadership in the community from the National Institutes of Higher Education, the National Boys and Girls Club of America, the National Council of Negro Women, and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.  He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of Clinton College, Rock Hill, South Carolina, and an executive officer of the Men of Distinction Organization of Eastover, South Carolina.
